It’s always very touching to be witness to a true love story. In this case, it’s not a wedding or an engagement shoot, but it a love story that has stood the test of time and will continue to do so through all adversity.
On this day, the 14th of February 2013, Cliff and Doone celebrated their 32nd Wedding Anniversary. Theirs is not a story that takes them back to their teen-age years, but one which brought them together a little later on in life.
Doone now lives in a nursing home where she is cared for since her dementia took her to a stage where Cliff no longer felt secure to provide her with her needs at home.
I first met Cliff at the Fullarton Markets where I have a stall each month; we chat about life and Cliff always gives me updates on Doone and on how she is from day to day.
It was a pleasure to meet Doone on such a special day for Cliff. As described by Cliff, this was a good day for Doone, where she would acknowledge him and he in turn, enjoyed her company.
